David Schneeweiss DDS, MSD
My profession has allowed me to give others the gift of a beautiful smile that they want so much. It is truly a wonderful thing. Working with patients during their adolescent years allows me to appreciate them growing, both physically and emotionally, which to this day I find amazing to observe.
Not only do their smiles change, but their personalities bloom. Interacting with so many people gives me the opportunity to learn from different perspectives; I often think I learn more from my patients than they do from me! I’ve built some wonderful relationships over the past 20 years, and I look forward to many more years to come.
Education
All professions change over time, especially in our fast-paced, high-tech world. The only way to stay current in the field is through continuing education, which is why I am a big advocate for continued learning. I have accumulated over 600 hours of continued education since graduating from Temple University with my dental degree. I love learning new techniques that I can put into practice to benefit my patients.

Community and Family
Helping others is very important to me, not only because of the way it impacts the receiver, but also because it helps me to keep a free and open perspective on life. In addition to the work I do in the office, I am involved in a local charity organization that distributes food to low-income families on a weekly basis.
Originally from Mexico City, I have lived in New Hempstead, New York for more than 17 years. My wife Esther and I have been blessed with seven wonderful children, and my time outside the office is happily consumed with my family. When I find a quiet moment, I enjoy reading and studying Jewish philosophy.
Orthodontist
Haim Tawil DMD, MSD, MS
Dr. Haim Tawil is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine where he earned his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry (DMD). During this time, he also completed his Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, with a concentration on biotechnology, including dental adhesives, implant surfaces, and palatal expansion in adolescents.
While at Penn, Dr. Tawil was selected to treat patients at the University’s Honor’s Clinic, focusing on the most challenging of cases. Dr. Tawil blended his love for dentistry and engineering by continuing his training and pursuing his specialty degree in orthodontics at Rutgers University, where he was elected chief resident.
Since completing his dental and orthodontic training, Dr. Tawil obtained his Board Certification in Orthodontics, the highest standard in the profession. For five years and counting, Dr. Tawil has been privileged to work alongside Dr. David Schneeweiss and very much enjoys getting to know and treat the local community members.
Outside the Practice
Dr. Tawil lives in North Jersey with his wife, a nurse practitioner, and their two children. In his spare time, Dr. Tawil enjoys spending time with his growing family, studying Judaic studies, photography, playing baseball, and fishing. Dr. Tawil looks forward to meeting you and helping you transform your smile!

My favorite thing about working in orthodontics is the people. I love getting to know our patients and interacting with them on a daily basis. Our practice has a wonderful feeling, as if we are all one family, and many of our patients have been coming for years.

I've been a part of Wesley Hills Orthodontics since 2009. The practice and the staff have become my home away from home. My favorite part of my work is getting to know each and every patient and parent who comes into the office and becomes their friend over time. When patients come to us, I believe that it is our priority to care for them and treat them with the same respect we would our own families, because, as a practice, our patients are a part of our family.
